Today I have begun to spread the word about the Bound4LIFE Nevada Chapter. I have many personal experiences and stories concerning the prayer movement for LIFE. I will share those in the following blogs. I want this blog to be an Intro and invitation exclaiming that In Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City area we will pray for the ending of abortion throughout Nevada and our nation. Under the covering, vision, and leadership of the Bound4LIFE story and call to prayer. So I am sharing in this first blog the "basics" of Bound4LIFE as found on their website.

Principles are eternal. Strategies and applications change.
“Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31:9)
God’s people are called to be a voice for the voiceless and a defense for the defenseless. What does that look like in a contemporary culture? How are these mandates walked out effectively? While the principles of scripture remain unchanged throughout the ages, God often releases divine strategies for their application in order to impact culture effectively. There is no one poorer or more needy than babies in the womb who have no voice to defend themselves.
“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.” (Luke 18:7-8)
Not only are Christians called to action in the earth on behalf of the needy, but we are also called to be a voice in prayer that contends for the release of justice according to God’s purposes.
After 50 days and nights of round-the-clock corporate prayer and fasting in 2004, a large group of prayer warriors, young and old alike, packed up their sleeping bags and headed to Washington, DC, filled with purpose and confidence that prayer could change the course of the nation. Their goal: To exalt JESUS in the nation’s capitol, the see ABORTION end, and to contend for GREAT AWAKENING in every sphere of society.
In a dream during that extended fast, one of the young leaders saw the image of thousands of mouths covered with tape inscribed with the word LIFE. Believing the unusual dream to be divine strategy, the company of mostly young people stood in front of the United States Supreme Court in silent prayer with Life Tape. In their silence, their hearts became tender and broken as they identified with the silence of the pre-born. Their prayers rose day after day to the heavenly court that sits higher than the highest court in the land. Much was learned in those first days that could only be received as their hearts connected with God’s heart over abortion. One thing became abundantly clear: This is a spiritual war and must be engaged with spiritual weapons. What was birthed during those days of intercession has continued to impact the entire nation, as well as many other nations.
Jesus, the Great Intercessor, is looking for people to stand with him in the gap because of the holocaust of abortion. We must be in agreement with Him and His Word instead of relativistic thinking that devalues human life. Our stand must be a committed, ongoing stand with the intention to remain until justice is released.
Unexpectedly the silence of the Life Tape has had a profound impact. It has created a way for us to “speak up” throughout the nation. Truly, a picture has been worth a thousand words. Nearly every media news source has taken hold of this image and spread it everywhere. It has quickly become a phenomenon that catches the eyes and hearts of the world. It has been said, “Life Tape subpoenas the conscience of the nation.” The witness of the Life Tape has spread further and impacted more people than we ever could have by shouting on a street corner. Political leaders and public policy have been directly impacted. Young women seeking abortions have experienced the love of God and chosen not to abort their babies.
Laws are changing, and lives are being saved.
If you go to the Supreme Court today, you’ll find faithful people of prayer still there. Through rain, blizzards and scorching heat we have never abandoned this “Silent Siege” against the ideology of abortion—against dark political agendas—against the spiritual power structures that prop up the abortion industry (Ez 4:1-3). We are there until the decree of death is reversed.
Not only that but the Life Tape has literally created countless opportunities to share the love of God with everyone that sees it and declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The message of LIFE is the perfect set up to speak of God’s dream and plan for every unique human being. Before any of our days came to pass, God’s precious thoughts toward us outnumbered the sands of the seashore (Psalm 139:13-18).
It’s spreading. What started in DC has now become a movement.
Bound4LIFE is a grassroots prayer mobilization movement focused on the ending of abortion, the increase of adoptions and the reformation of government and society through spiritual awakening. Our mission is to mobilize a massive surge of prayer through:
- Silent Sieges – Public stands of silent prayer wearing Life Tape in front of courthouses and abortion centers around the nation.
- Life Bands – Millions of Christians wearing a red wristband engraved with the word LIFE. Those that wear the Life Band make a three-part commitment to pray, vote and obey.
Our stand is NOT a protest. It IS a silent prayer meeting. We make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released. You can be a part of this movement now right where you live.
THE Silent Siege
“Lay siege against it, build a siege wall against it… Set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This will be a sign.” (Ez 4:2-3 NKJV)
It’s not a protest. It’s a prayer meeting.
A Silent Siege is a stand in silent prayer on behalf of the nation that is murdering its children. We are standing in agreement with Jesus, the Great Intercessor, concerning the holocaust of abortion.
We believe the Life Tape is a divine strategy from the Lord to both mobilize a massive movement of prayer and also to be a faithful witness to the nation. Nearly every media news source has taken hold of the image of the Life Tape and spread it everywhere. It has become a phenomenon that catches the eyes and hearts of the world. Truly, a picture is worth a thousand words. Political leaders and public policy have been directly impacted. Young women seeking abortions have experienced the love of God and chosen not to abort their babies. Laws are changing, and lives are being saved.
When LIFE is written on a piece of red tape and placed over our mouths, we are identifying with the silence of the pre-born who have no voice to defend themselves. In that place of weakness, prayerlessness is no longer an option. Hearts become tender and broken toward this unthinkable tragedy. A sense of urgency grows within.
We make our appeal to the Judge of the earth and ask Him for speedy justice to be released (Lk 18:7-8). It has become a powerful witness that God is using to “subpoena the conscience of the nation.”
What could happen if every church would rise up in prayer and stand in the authority of Christ against the spiritual forces of darkness that are seeking to destroy a generation in the womb?
THE LIFE BAND
The red Life Band that we wear is not a fad or a fashion statement. In fact, it is an outward marking of an internal conviction. We wear this band in unity and as a reminder of a solemn commitment that we have made—a lifestyle that we have entered into willingly.
Before we tell you any more about this commitment, you must know how the Life Band got started.
During the early days of the first Silent Sieges in Washington, DC, a young man approached founder Lou Engle and said, “You know, if you were to take this life tape and turn it into a wristband like the Livestrong bands, we could start a Martin Luther King, Jr. movement to end abortion like they did in Birmingham, Alabama to end segregation.”
It was a great idea, but was it a God idea? Not wanting to presume anything, Lou waited and asked the Lord for confirmation.
The next day a different young man we did not know came by the Supreme Court and saw the Life Tape. He said, “You know, if you turned this life tape into wristbands like the Livestrong bands, I would take them back to my hometown Birmingham and start a Martin Luther King, Jr. movement to end abortion.” Lou and the team were suddenly gripped by the idea of millions of people wearing the Life Band and praying daily for the ending of abortion.
The following day a benefactor wrote a check to pay for the first order of Life Bands. A mobilization tool was born.
The Life Band commitment developed out of a great desire to see the body of Christ make a deliberate, unified effort to work towards the ending abortion. The covenant has three parts—Pray, Vote and Obey. Bound4LIFE invites you to get a Life Band and make this solemn commitment.
PRAY
By wearing this band we are making a commitment to pray daily for the ending of abortion. God has given us a simple 22-word prayer to replace the one removed from public schools in 1962. It is a powerful point of unity for the movement: “Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America.” Our vision is to mobilize millions of people lifting up this prayer.

VOTE
By wearing this band we are making a commitment to vote for candidates who are pro-life. We cannot pray for abortion to end and still promote those who support it.

OBEY
By wearing this band we are making a commitment to obey God as He leads us into works of compassion and justice. We must always be willing to be the answer to our own prayers.
